Dockville Line-Up Part 2

The world of fashion is by far not the only topic of this blog. Music plays an important role in my life too and therefore must be discussed on gelbgold. Unfortunately there wasn't much to write about in this department lately, which needs to be changed right here and right now. The event giving reason to this is the second wave of band confirmations for the Dockville festival 2012 taking place in Hamburg in august.

13 new acts were announced on the Dockville facebook page yesterday, among them the band "We are Alaska" from Hamburg, as well as the famous british artist James Blake, whose song "limit to your love" should be well-known. From the rest of the Line-Up -surprise, surprise- I have never heard before. But that does not mean that there are not some highlights in on it. "Whomadewho" from Denmark, "Wye Oak" from the states, and "Dear Reader" definitely make you long for the festival season with their folky tunes. But also "Ghostpoet" provides an interesting sound, to which you can already see youself dancing in front of the stage in Wilhemsburg. "Sóley" from Iceland brings with her much softer melodies, but those are always welcome at a music festival like the Dockville. "Slow Club" from the UK and the band "Vierkanttretlager", which sings in german, complete the event's line-up and are worth stopping by. The only ones I don't seem to like too much are "Die Vögel", "Forever Dolphin Love", "Muso" and "Sleep Party People"...but I guess there has to be something for everyone...
