Just Fabulous Preview Hamburg

Kaum zu glauben, wie schnell die Zeit vergeht. Eben hat man noch einen Silvesterknaller um die Ecke schießen hören und schon wird das letzte Ferienwochenende vor Sommersemesterbeginn eingeläutet. Das Jahr zieht im Flug vorbei und dennoch kann ich mich nicht beschweren. Gerade der März war bis auf eine Ausnahme ganz wunderbar, nicht zuletzt auch weil ich von einer Einladung zur JustFabulous Preview überrascht wurde. 

It's amaizing how time flies by. I can still hear New Year's fireworks in my ears and all of a sudden it's the end of march with the new semester just around the corner. 2012 passes by really quickly but still I have no reason to complain! Especially the last couple of weeks were incredible. Not only did I get to visit a very good friend of mine in New York, but also I was invited to the JustFabulous Preview in Hamburg. 

Das Event fand vergangenen Dienstag in der Hafencity statt. Zwar erwies sich die Suche nach der Location als nicht ganz so trivial, aber nachdem ich mit 4 weiteren umher-irrenden Bloggerinnen auf der Straße aufgesammelt wurde, öffneten sich uns die Türen zu den schönen Räumlichkeiten der Thái Cong Lounge. Dort wartete in gemütlicher Atmosphäre bereits ein Buffet sowie eine Horde weiterer Gäste (umgeben von einer Vielzahl von Schuhen und Taschen, die alle liebevoll in den Regalen und auf den Stühlen drapiert wurden) um über das Konzept von Just Fabulous informiert zu werden. Im Prinzip funktioniert es so: man meldet sich bei Just Fab an, unterzieht sich einem kleinen Test und wird dann monatlich mit einem Angebot an Schuhen und Taschen versorgt. Das Gute an der Sache: gefällt einem Nichts, muss kein Kauf getätigt werden. Außerdem untypisch für ein solches Konzept: auch Nicht-Mitglieder können sich im Onlineshop umsehen und sich ihre Lieblings-Styles sichern. In Amerika hat sich das "Quasi-Abo" schon bewährt und als erfolgreich erwiesen. Deshalb soll es nun auch nach Europa kommen, wo Deutschland ab Mitte April den Anfang macht. Leider beschränkt sich das Sortiment bislang fast ausschließlich auf extrem hohe Schuhe, die ich aufgrund meiner Größe dann doch eher selten trage. Allerdings wurde uns im Gespräch erzählt, dass die Auswahl an den europäischen Markt angepasst werden soll und demzufolge auch Flats hinzu kommen werden. Für mich als Online-Shopping-Banausen ist das Konzept wohl eher nicht ganz so gut geeignet, aber wer seine Sachen gerne virtuell einkauft und dabei auch die "Beratung" von Fachmännern und -frauen in Anspruch nehmen möchte, ist bei JustFabulous genau richtig. 

The Event took place last tuesday near the harbor. It wasn't too easy to find the exact location but fortunately I wasn't the only one who felt that way and so 5 of us Blogger girls needed to be picked up on the street by one of the hostesses. After having arrived in the Thái Cong Lounge, we found ourselves in the cosiest atmosphere ever with dinner soon to be served and a lot of other girls already waiting for the concept to be explained. Technically it works like this: you sign up on JustFab, do a short style test, and then you will be offered an assortment of shoes and bags on a monthly basis. The good thing about it: if you don't like what you're being offered you don't have to buy anything. And what's also rather uncommon with such a concept is that you are also able to purchase your favorite styles even if you're not a "member". In the Unites States the online shop is already well known and it has proven that it can be a huge success. That is the reason, why it will also be launched in Europe with the first country being Germany starting the middle of april. Unfortunately Just Fabulous only offers highheels right now, which I don't normally wear due to my height. But the host of the preview told us that the assortment will be adapted to the european market so hopefulle that will change soon. For people like me who rather not shop online this concept might not be very suiting. But if you don't mind buying your stuff on the internet with a bunch of stylists and fashion bloggers helping you, JustFab might be just perfect for you.

Mein Highlight des Abends waren im Übrigen nicht nur die neuen Blogger-Bekanntschaften mit lieben Mädels wie beispielsweise Andrea von GINGERVINTAGE, Annie von ANNIEWEAR und Sabrina von Farbkind, sondern vor allem die Schuhe von Mau, die so herrlich golden funkelten. Aber auch die Damen der Schöpfung konnten Stilsicherheit beweisen, so zum Beispiel Anouk mit ihrem H&M Trend Cardigan, der komplett mit grünen Perlen bestickt war. Alles in Allem also eine sehr gelungene Veranstaltung...

My personal highlight of the evening was not only the fact that I got to meet a lot of new blogger-collegues like Andrea from GINGERVINTAGE, Annie from ANNIEWEAR, and Sabrina from Farbkind, but especially the shoes from Mau which sparkled through the whole room. He was not the only one with a lot of style though, considering what Anouk wore for example: a stunning H&M Trend cardigan with green beads. Altogether it was a perfect night...
